All good things must come to an end and so it is with A Hazelhurst Christmas. Doing this animated light show has been a labor of love for both Kerrie and I since we started it in 2006. But the 2013 season will be out last as we move into a new phase in our life. We would like to thank each and everyone who has come out and seen the show and hope that in provided a little more Christmas joy in your life and more importantly was a delight to every child who saw the show. We have read many wonderful emails from those who saw the show wanted to let us know what it meant to them. We would like to give a special thanks to our neighbors who put up with the cars and sometimes noise when we ran the show. When some of them asked if and when we were setting up the show because the enjoyed tuning there radio to oour station and looking out the window at the show that meant a lot to us. So it is with sadness I have to make this announcement but we hope the memories will last in your heart as long as they will in ours.
Sincerely Jeff and Kerrie Squires
The lights are now dark at A Hazelhurst Christmas till next Thanksgiving. We had a pretty good run this year with only two days that were 'rained out'. We would like to thank everyone who donated for the Salavation Army. Your donations totaled $77.34 and we are going to round that up to give a check for $100 to the Royal Oak Salavation Army who will use that to help those in our local area. If you didn't get a chance to donate you can still do it online at the Salavation Army website. From all of us at A Hazelhurst Christmas we would like to thank you for coming out and hope you come back and see us after Thanksgiving.
The 2013 season of A Hazelhurst Christmas is rapidly approaching and we will have some new display items and hopefully a new song or two. Lights should start going up just before Halloween and the show is scheduled to start Thanksgiving evening. We will have more updates as the show approaches so stay tuned!
