My wife and I went out to visit another animated light show and we were both blown away! Southfiield Christmas http://www.southfieldchristmas.com has only been doing an animated light show for 2 years but they are doing a great job. Very bright and colorful with lots of animation it is well worth the trip over there to see there show. For directions http://www.southfieldchristmas.com/directions/ and there picture on there website does not do there show justice.
With the announcement from the weather service of a possible storm coming in for this Friday 12-21-2012 I wanted to let everyone know that if there is bad weather (heavy rain/snow or high winds) the show will have to be cancelled for that evening. I will try to put a post here on the website if that happens (usually by 5PM) to let everyone know so they don't make the drive.
Well our 2012 season is under way and with the exception of a few technical difficulties things are looking good. We currenty are playing a rotation of 6 songs including 2 that are completely new this year and the 4 others which have be redone to fit our new lights. There is also a pre-show from 5:30pm till 6:56 PM with several songs and mostly static lights. We hope to have 1 or 2 more songs done before Christmas. We entered a picture of our lights (albiet an older picture) in a contest on Patch.com (Ferndale) so if you get a chance vote for us and we will use the money toward more lights for next years show!
A lot of things have been going on behind the scences here at A Hazelhurst Christmas and the 2012 show is almost ready. Lights will be going up soon and programming of the lights for 2012 is in progress. We have been very busy here at AHC soldering boards and asembling projects. I will be first to admit this isn't the show I wanted to do, by that I wanted to have much grander show with more lights but with the current economy we are going to put on the best show we can. That said stay tuned for further info when the show will start further information.
